Who we really are
Advocate for Young Women (AYW) is a dynamic and purpose-driven initiative based in Ghana, dedicated to the empowerment, education, and holistic development of young women. Founded on the belief that every young woman deserves the opportunity to thrive, AYW exists to close the opportunity gap faced by many brilliant yet under-resourced young women across the country.
We believe that sustainable empowerment is achieved not just through access to education, but through consistent support, mentorship, and exposure to positive role models. This is why our program integrates visits, forums, and interactions with accomplished women – known as “Big Sisters” – who guide, inspire, and mentor our students throughout the year.
We are committed to bridging the gap for girls who are disadvantaged by social or financial circumstances, ensuring that every deserving young woman has access to quality education and support.
💪 Empowerment
We believe in equipping young women with the tools, confidence, and opportunities they need to take control of their lives and reach their full potential—socially, academically, and personally.
🌟 Leadership Development
AYW nurtures the next generation of women leaders by instilling confidence, responsibility, and a strong sense of purpose through mentorship and real-world learning experiences.
